No aesthetic medicine treatment works well on sun-damaged skin. In an equatorial city like Guayaquil, ultraviolet radiation is high for most of the year, even on cloudy days.
Why it matters so much
UV radiation is the main cause of spots, loss of elasticity and premature wrinkles (photoaging). It also raises the risk of skin cancer.
How to use it well
- Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher.
- Apply it every morning, even if you work indoors or the day is cloudy.
- Reapply every 2–3 hours outdoors, when sweating or after getting wet.
- Use enough product for face and neck.
If you already have spots
Peels, PRP and other dermocosmetic treatments can help, but without sun protection the spots return. Tell us about your case at a consultation.
